That redness and discolouration across the neck and décolletage has a name: poikiloderma.

It usually develops after years of sun exposure, and it is actually two concerns showing up together, vascular redness and pigment.

Here is where XPL by lumenis comes in. It works by sending gentle pulses of light into the skin, and that light is absorbed by colour, both the reds (haemoglobin in the small vessels) and the browns (melanin in the pigment).

Because it targets colour rather than one single concern, it can address the vascular and the pigmented components in the same session, which is what makes it well suited to something like poikiloderma that involves both.
