Complete removal of Seb Ks
Seborrheic Keratoses are brown / yellow / white raised skin spots that occur more with age. They are also known as seborrhoiec warts, age spots, senile warts or barnacles. They frequently occur on the torso but can appear on the face or limbs as well.
How can you remove Seborrhoeic Keratoses (Seb Ks)?
Using CO2 ablative laser we can completely remove Seborrhoeic Keratoses at Geelong Veins Skin & Laser.
We can treat between 1-12 per session depending on size and location.
The ablative laser completely removes the abnormal tissue leaving a grazed area just the size of the lesion which heals over 1 week.
What type of Seb Ks can be treated with laser?
Most Seb Ks can be effectively and permanently removed with one laser session.
There are some that the doctor may recommend shave excision instead, when they are particularly large, thick / dry or in a very delicate area such as near the eye.
Preparing for your appointment
It is ideal to have had a full skin cancer check within the past 12 months prior to Seb K removal.
Post-treatment guidelines
You will leave the appointment with gel and dressings applied to the wounds. This will need to be changed every 24-48 hours for a week.
No swimming for 1 week.
