What is the difference between a medical peel and a chemical peel?
These terms are often used interchangeably. However a medical strength peel is often referring to a stronger peel that affects the deeper layers of skin. A chemical peel can be any depth from light surface peels to deeper peels.
Does a medical grade peel hurt?
Peels can feel a little hot or stinging while applied or after but there is no intense pain.
What will my face look like after a medical peel?
It depends on the exact peel to the degree of symptoms, but expect some redness for the first few days followed by dry dead skin peeling off on days 3-7 to reveal soft, pink, healthier skin.
