Effective treatment of excess sweating to the armpits, hands, feet or face
Medical skin treatments
Get on top of your sweating problem
Hyperhydrosis is the medical name for excess sweating. This condition can be effectively treated at GVSL with a treatment involving a small grid of fine medicated injections to the affected area.
How it works
Begin with a medical appointment with one of our expert doctors to look for underlying reasons for sweating. The range of available treatments for excess sweating will be discussed. The injection treatment procedure and effects will be explained. A grid of tiny injections into the skin is applied by the doctor. Numbing cream can be used for comfort.
Who is it for?
Patients who experience excessive sweating, leading to damaged clothing, embarrassment from wet stains, skin conditions associated with sweating, difficulty with tasks due to sweaty hands or feet.
What do I need to do before my appointment?
No preparation is required.
Aftercare
Avoid using irritating deodorants or body wash for 24 hours. No swimming for 24 hours.
Sweating injection treatment is very effective, with a reduction in sweating seen in all patients within 3-4 days.
6-12 months.
We use very tiny needles, but you may feel small pin pricks. We use a numbing cream to lessen the pain. The treatment is usually tolerated well in the armpits. Palms and soles of the feet can be more sensitive and we may use ice or nerve blocks in these locations.
