Relieve hayfever symptoms with a needle-free, in-clinic treatment

At GVSL in Geelong, we offer an effective in-clinic hayfever treatment for people experiencing nasal itching, sneezing, swelling, and congestion. Our 30-minute treatment is completely injection-free. A medication is applied gently inside the nasal passages using a spray and soft swab, helping to calm the overactive nerve fibres that react to allergens. Relief can last up to 4–6 months from a single appointment.

If you’ve been searching for Haytox or hayfever injections, this treatment offers a needle-free alternative worth considering.

How it works

Your appointment begins with a consultation with a GP to review your hayfever symptoms and medical history. The doctor will explain the intranasal treatment and confirm if it is suitable for you.
If you choose to proceed, the treatment can usually be performed during the same visit.

Medication is applied gently inside each nostril using a spray and soft swab, helping reduce the nasal overreaction to allergens that triggers hayfever symptoms.

Most patients notice improvement within 2-4 days, with results typically lasting 4–6 months. Some patients choose to repeat the treatment once a year at the start of spring.

What is the difference between this treatment and Botox / “Haytox”?

This treatment is not Botox and does not involve any injections. “Haytox” is an informal term used to describe Botox injections used for hayfever symptoms. Our intranasal hayfever treatment works differently. Medication is applied directly inside the nasal passages to calm the overactive nerve response that triggers symptoms. It is completely needle-free, and is specifically designed for nasal allergy relief.
