Sculpt Therapy Geelong
Allow Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser to introduce you to Sculpt Therapy Geelong – a collagen biostimulator treatment. Collagen biostimulator injections are an injectable liquid made of Poly-L-Lactic Acid. It is the synthetic form of lactic acid, which your body produces naturally following exercise.
WHY USE SCULPT THERAPY GEELONG?
Facial changes of ageing affect us all at some stage. Gravity takes its toll causing sagging and a heavier lower face. Collagen and elastin in the skin’s layers are slowly depleted and the skin loses its elasticity and firmness. The end result can vary from wrinkles, crepiness, jowls, loss of plumpness in some areas, while other areas become too full with excess skin and soft tissue migrating downward. A sagging jawline, neck, and deeply wrinkled chest are common with age.
We already know that Botulinum Toxin (Antiwrinkle injections) can soften and reverse wrinkles, particularly around the eyes and forehead. Dermal fillers are an excellent treatment to increase volume in areas that have been depleted over time or were never plump enough for a youthful look.
But sometimes, antiwrinkle injections and hyaluronic acid fillers are not enough. Whether it is a result of dramatic weight loss or simply just getting older, there are patients who lack the structure, support, and volume in their face that is necessary for fillers to make the desired difference in their appearance. These patients need a “framework” and a treatment that actively rejuvenates the collagen from within.
This is where Sculpt Therapy Geelong – Collagen Biostimulators come in. The main brand name, which we can’t use as Australian law prevents us from advertising using brand names for prescribed medications, starts with “S” and can be found on overseas sites online.
HOW DOES SCULPT THERAPY GEELONG WORK?
Collagen stimulators act as a bio-activator and extremely powerful collagen stimulator. They stimulate your own collagen, allowing tissue to volumise gradually. Over time, the Poly-L-Lactic Acid dissipates as your own tissue with natural collagens taking its place. Since the product triggers your body to build its own collagen, results are not immediate and can take anywhere from 4-6 months.
WHO IS A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR SCULPT THERAPY GEELONG?
If you are concerned with hollowness and/or loss of volume due to ageing or weight loss you are most likely a candidate for Sculpt Therapy Geelong. While most patients are middle-aged, men and women as young as 25 and as old as 75 have experienced success from treatment. We offer a free comprehensive consultation prior to treatment to assess if Collagen Stimulator injections are the right treatment for you, and explain the treatment in detail.
WHICH AREAS CAN BE TREATED WITH SCULPT THERAPY?
Sunken cheeks, nasolabial folds and temples are the most common areas treated. Collagen Stimulators at Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser can also be used in the chin and the jawline, and to reverse the signs of ageing on the chest/décolletage.
HOW MUCH DOES SCULPT THERAPY GEELONG COST AND HOW MUCH WILL I NEED?
A complimentary 20-minute consultation at Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser is required to determine if you’re a good candidate for treatment. Treatments cost is $900 for a one vial treatment and $1500 for a two vial treatment. Between one and three treatment sessions may be required.
The general rule of thumb for Collagen Stimulators is one vial per decade of life. So if you’re in your 40’s, you will most likely need 4 vials. There are exceptions to this rule depending upon volume loss.
Geelong Veins Skin & Laser require a deposit upon booking a Sculpt Therapy Geelong appointment. This is because the solution must be mixed prior to the appointment and if it is not used, we have to dispose of it.
A maximum of two vials can be injected per treatment. Patients should expect to come in for at least two treatments, with six weeks between each treatment.
WHEN WILL I SEE RESULTS?
Collagen stimulation results are not immediate, however, on the day of treatment at Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser, you will see a change to the areas of volume loss in your face due to the product injected. Increases in your collagen causing tightening and volume generally take four to six months, depending upon a variety of factors, including volume loss and age. Patients will continue seeing changes through to the ninth month and at that time full results are expected.
Collagen biostimulator injection therapy is not for patients who need instant gratification. But with patience, the results are absolutely worth the wait.
HOW LONG DO SCULPT THERAPY INJECTIONS LAST?
The effects will last two to three years once the series of treatments are completed. So while these injections are a higher initial price point than HA fillers at Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser, patients often justify spending a little more for the time in which they can enjoy results. Most fillers only last a year so Collagen Biostimulator injections are considered a great investment.
WHAT IS THE DOWNTIME?
Downtime is minimal with Sculpt Therapy Geelong. It is an outpatient treatment that will take around an hour to perform at Geelong Veins, Skin and Laser. When finished, most patients feel that they can go on with their normal daily activities. Like HA fillers, you may experience some swelling at the injection sites that will generally subside in less than a week. Mild to moderate bruising is also common. Tenderness, itching, and redness are other common side-effects.
