Using your own blood to treat skin, joints or hair loss
Dermal therapy treatments
Also known as the “Vampire Facial”
PRP involves taking blood and spinning it in a centrifuge to separate the plasma, platelets and regeneration factors that are then re injected into the skin, scalp or joints.
PRP is commonly combined with skin needling for enhanced facial rejuvenation, and is also used in treatment for hair loss.

How does PRP work?
Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP), often referred to as the “Vampire Facial”, is a regenerative treatment that uses your body’s own healing factors to stimulate tissue repair and collagen production.
A small blood sample is taken and placed into a centrifuge to separate the platelet-rich plasma. This concentrated plasma is then injected into the treatment area to encourage healing and regeneration.
PRP can be used to improve skin quality, stimulate hair growth and support joint health.
What conditions can be treated with PRP?
PRP may be recommended for:
- Skin Rejuvenation
- Fine lines and wrinkles, dull or tired-looking skin, crepey skin & loss of skin firmness
- Under Eye Rejuvenation
- Dark circles, fine lines around the eyes & mild skin laxity
- Hair Restoration
- PRP can stimulate dormant hair follicles and may assist with certain types of hair thinning.
Joint Conditions
PRP may also be used to help manage knee osteoarthritis by supporting the body’s natural healing response. Treatment suitability is determined during your consultation.
PRP treatment is often combined with:
Preparing for your appointment
- Drink plenty of water on the day of your appointment.
- Eat a light meal beforehand.
- Avoid any NSAID medication for 1 week prior (aspirin/ibuprofen/voltaren) *If you require aspirin for a medical indication discuss this with your doctor before ceasing
- Tell your clinician about any medications or supplements you are taking.
Your clinician will discuss any treatment-specific preparation during your consultation.
Post-treatment guidelines
Recovery depends on the area treated.
Following treatment you may experience:
- Mild redness
- Swelling
- Tenderness
- Bruising around injection sites
These effects usually settle within a few days.
Because PRP stimulates your body’s natural healing response, improvements develop gradually over the following weeks and months. Multiple sessions may be recommended depending on your treatment goals.
Yes. PRP is commonly combined with Skin Needling to enhance collagen production and skin rejuvenation. This combination may improve skin texture, fine lines and acne scarring.
PRP utilizes your own blood so there is no risk of allergy or reactions. We only treat one PRP patient at a time so there is no risk of cross contamination of samples.
The number of treatments varies depending on whether PRP is being used for skin rejuvenation, hair restoration or joint conditions. Your clinician will recommend a personalised treatment plan.
Depending on your concerns, PRP may be combined with:
Skin Needling
LED Light Therapy
Dermal Therapy Treatments
This combination approach can help improve overall skin quality and healing.
